Welcome to our Introduction to Studio Lighting Workshop!
This workshop covers all of the essential equipment used in professional studio photography; including, but not limited to, hot and cool lights, reflectors, umbrellas, soft boxes, hand held meters, and more. In addition to the equipment overview, lighting ratios and portrait light setup will also be discussed. This class is suitable for everyone and anyone with an interest in studio methods and techniques. Interested students should have an understanding of the basic principles of photography.

• Studio lighting overview
• White Balance
• Metering Incident Vs Reflective
• Light Ratios
• Wireless lights control
• 1, 2, 3 Studio light set-ups
• Portrait Light setup
Participants will use their cameras with the studio lights so that they have a set of images at the end of the workshop that demonstrate the various lighting arrangements for each kind of photography.
By the end of the workshop, you will be comfortable using studio lights on your own, at the PhotoSpace Studio or elsewhere.
